Passersby 03:17
I see the stars at night I'm thinking of you and me I pray we'll be all right You're all that I can see The planets did align For us to coexist I want to see you shine A lighthouse in the mist Love took it's time and so did I, We're all just lonely passersby I hear the songs you sing Fragrant melodies Don’t heed the past I bring A forest for the trees I wanna set you free From all that holds you down I pray one day you’ll see The beauty I have found Love took it's time and so did I, We're all just lonely passersby And I will come find you And I will come find you And I will come find you And I will come find you Love took it's time and so did I, We're all just lonely passersby I see the stars at night I’m thinking of you and me

Loaded Gun 03:58
I see the lives out on my street Thinking about what I can't reach I'm walking Sunday, home from church If I have love, why does it hurt I see it in your eyes All the ways you compromise Anything to see, a bit of sun I hate what it's done to you All the things you'll never do Your past holds you like, a loaded gun I walk these lonely streets at night I see you by the fire light Do you see me like I see you I think most days you just look through I see it in your eyes All the ways you compromise Anything to see, a bit of sun I hate what it's done to you All the things you'll never do Your past holds you like, a loaded gun I'm running out of what I need My hopes are dying like the trees Asleep but now I am awake And it all seems too late, too late I see it in your eyes All the ways you compromise Anything to see, a bit of sun I hate what it's done to you All the things you'll never do Your past holds you like, a loaded gun And I hope you know, you're not The only one

Football 02:27
You know that I don't care about football There's other things that I would want to see But I would never begrudge you the pleasure Of something that can make you so happy You know I don't listen to your records Avant garde was never meant for me But that don't mean you need to stop 'em spinning There's so few ways that we can feel free I don't know why we are the way we are It doesn't matter much to me What gives you morning, keeps me in the night I'm so glad you found a light I'm so glad you found a light I like reading books that you don't care for Dusty books who's authors have all died But I don't think that makes you any less smart Just because our tastes don't coincide I like writing songs on my old guitar Melodies and lyrics speak for me But I don't think you're any less creative Just 'cause you roe your boat in different seas I don't know why we are the way we are It doesn't matter much to me What gives me morning, keeps you in the night I'm so glad I found a light I'm so glad I found a light

Moonshine 03:07
Moonshine, come knock on my door Moonshine, no more Moonshine, I'm drinking away Moonshine, don't stay I made this brew myself But I can't drink It's ashes in my mouth My ship will not sink Moonshine, I'm drinking away Moonshine, don't stay Moonshine, I'm all on the floor Moonshine, no more I’ve walked across the states To find my home It’s here where I began I won’t be alone I won't be alone Moonshine, come knock on my door Moonshine, no more Moonshine, I'm drinking away Moonshine, don't stay I’ve opened and I’ve closed So many doors I’ve locked my own self out I won’t drink no more I won't drink no more Walking down the steps I see the way that I would fall You number my steps, you hear my call Walking down the steps I see the way that I would fall You number my steps, you hear my call Moonshine, come knock on my door Moonshine, no more Moonshine, I'm drinking away Moonshine, don't stay

about

Although it’s called Love Songs, there is only one song about romantic love (Passersby). The others celebrate platonic love (Football), self love (Moonshine), love of life (Gratitude), and loving someone going through a hard situation (Loaded Gun). The title of Love Songs is also meant to poke fun at the cliche of singer-songwriter types only writing sappy love songs.

Thanks for listening :)
